Andrew Balding
Andrew is based at the highly admired Kingsclere Stables near Newbury. He first took out his licence in 2003 after taking over from his father, lan. Andrew got his training career off to the perfect start with Casual Look winning the Oaks (Group 1) in his first year.
He has since proven to be a skilled campaigner of horses internationally, winning races at Group level in France, Germany, Dubai, Hong Kong, Canada, Turkey and Australia.
Since then Andrew has had multiple top flight success, earning over £35 million in prize money during his career. Andrew's credentials were highlighted even more this season with Chaldean winning the Group 1 QIPCO 2000 Guineas at Newmarket, one of the five Classics run in a flat season, and his second victory in the race to date. He has trained well over 1,200 winners and his knowledge and experience as a racehorse trainer is priceless.
