Purchased from the Arqana August Yearling Sale, known for its excellence in the ring and on the racecourse, with graduates such as ANCIENT WISDOM, FACTEUR CHEVAL, FLORA OF BERMUDA, LOOK DE VEGA, OPERA BALLO, RAMATUELLE and RASHABAR.
This beautiful filly was impossible not to like, with an athletic walk and stride, and a very light, easy action.
She shows plenty of class and descends from an outstanding family. As a racehorse in the making with exceptional long-term broodmare value, it was an incredibly easy choice for us.
Here's what Bloodstock Agent Billy-Jackson Stopps had to say:
"This filly was hard not be impressed by. She had the perfect angled shoulder, a great depth of girth and one of the best hips in the sale. She had a huge amount of muscle definition and most notably through her gaskin, the power house. She was a fluent moving filly, completely balanced and shows clear athleticism with the way she walked."
Pedigree
Away from the physical, her pedigree is as good as it gets. She is by Too Darn Hot, who has already sired fillies such as Gr.1 winner Fallen Angel and Gr.2 winners Etes Vous Prets and Darnation. Statistically, Too Darn Hot is significantly better with fillies than colts, with 13.5% stakes performing fillies to runners over 9.8% for the colts.
This filly is out of Fastnet Rock mare, a broodmare sire that has produced no less than 16 Group 1 winners and 28 Group 2 winners. Of particular interest is the Gr.2 Prix du Calvados winner Simmering, who shares the same cross as our filly being the daughter of Too Darn Hot out of a Fastnet Rock mare.
Her granddam is the exceptional broodmare Magnificent Style, whose page is filled top to tale with Group winners, including the superb sire and King George winner, Nathaniel, and Irish Oaks Heroine, Great Heavens.
