The Channons are notorious for their success with BUNGLE INTHEJUNGLE as a sire - having trained the stallion himself to victory in both the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes and the Group 3 Cornwallis before going on to secure nine podium finishes and £41,000 in prize money with our own JUNGLE MAC, sired by BUNGLE INTHEJUNGLE himself. 

It is for this reason that when we came across this uncommonly well built BUNGLE, we couldn’t pass up the chance to add him to our string with Jack Channon at West Ilsley Stables, who kicked off his training career last season in outstanding fashion and has had ever increasing success this summer. An extremely strong colt, he has ample scope and looks as though he will cut an impressive figure in only a short time. He is very much an early type and one we expect to see on the track in the Spring next year, but with more than enough progression to take him on to even better heights at three.

Pedigree

Our colt descends from excellent stock. Out of a daughter of Champion sire GALILEO and multiple Group winner MAUREEN, he has a top quality family line brimming with winners. MAUREEN was dam to four winners herself, whilst her own dam had an impressive 100% winning strike rate with five winners from five foals, an uncommon feat in the world of bloodstock. Our colt’s own dam has already shown good potential as a broodmare with her first runner, who ran into a very promising second place on debut in August. GALILEO was renowned for having an extraordinary impact as a broodmare sire, with progeny from this line holding an exemplary record on the track. 

This colt is a replica of BUNGLE INTHEJUNGLE himself, with the same well-balanced frame, powerful quarters and acceleration. As a stallion, BUNGLE INTHEJUNGLE is well-known for producing precocious, speedy types, hailing 10 Stakes winning sprinters to date. Best known of his progeny is three-time Stakes winner GIVEMETHEBEATBOYS, Molecomb Stakes victor RUMBLE INTHEJUNGLE and highest rated of all, WINTER POWER, who took home the trophy in the Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes - the 5f sprint reserved for the fastest of the fast.
