A classy debut from PUROSANGUE

PUROSANGUE delivered his debut with real class in the 5f Novice Stakes at Haydock today, demonstrating spectacular acceleration under Ray Dawson to win by four lengths. Quickening impressively in the final furlong, he showed the same quality we saw during his Breeze Up at Goffs in April, where we purchased him for £125,000 from consignor Mark Grant Racing.

By ACLAIM, he is another exciting runner for the stallion, who has a fantastic record with Breeze Up graduates, including CACHET and ROYAL ACLAIM, and is in very capable hands with trainer Andrew Balding. He is a hugely exciting prospect for his owners and will certainly be one to watch as he heads for some of the big Stakes races this season.

PUROSANGUE (£35,000Y, £125,000 2-y-o: by Aclaim: second foal: closely related to 7f winner Liberty Breeze (by Equiano): dam, 5f/6f winner, half-sister to useful multiple 5f winner Tumblewind) looked a good prospect as he made an impressive winning debut for a yard whose 2-y-os tend to come on plenty for their first outing; made all, travelled well, ridden inside final 1f, quickened clear; sure to progress and win more races.

Only one of those with experience ran his race but even he proved no match for the impressive winning newcomer from the Balding yard.
