A Double for the Girls
HEDONISTA and Saffie Osborne can do no wrong, bringing their form as a duo to 211 for the Ed Walker team after adding another success to the board this evening at Kempton. As the sole filly and only three-year-old in the 2m London Stayers’ Series Qualifier Handicap, HEDONISTA gave an impressive display despite it being a tactically tricky race.
The quickly-run start left the pair behind a wall of horses, forcing them to switch out wide, but they made good use of Kempton's long run in to pass the whole field and beat favourite MOUNTAIN ROAD by over a length.
Purchased for only 35,000 GNS from the Tattersalls December Yearling Sale, she has been a great filly for her owners as a real consistent type, earning £14,000 in prize money so far, and remains unexposed with plenty of scope for the big staying handicaps next year!

HEDONISTA (IRE) who played up beforehand, was the least exposed in the field (sole 3-y-o) and, having finished behind a trio of next-time-out winners over C&D last time, confirmed promise of that run to double her tally and is building a fine all-weather record; mid-field, ridden when came wide early in straight, progress 2f out, edged left entering final 1f, led last ½f; unexposed at staying trips and seems to possess some scope, so will remain of plenty of interest.
A fairly useful event run at a stop-start gallop but, that said, it still looks resonable form between those in the frame, the only 3-y-o coming out on top from the well-backed favourite and one seeking a hat-trick.
