AKKADIAN thunders home

AKKADIAN THUNDER flew home in spectacular fashion at Kempton last night for the team at Varian Stables, shedding his maiden tag on his second start. The three-year-old demonstrated an impressive turn of foot to pass his rivals from midfield down the home straight, beating NO SURRENDER by half a length under David Egan, and looking like an exciting prospect despite his late start to the game.

Bred by Sam Sangster, he has excellent credentials as a son of NIGHT OF THUNDER and the descendent of Group 1 Prix de Alary-winning FIDELITE, and was a Goffs Breeze Up purchase last year for us where we secured him for £110,000.

A huge congratulations to his connections!

AKKADIAN THUNDER after 3 months off, still looked quite badly in need of experience and did well to overcome that, auguring well for his prospects; raced off the pace, ran green early, shaken up over 2f out, hung right, headway over 1f out, led well inside final 1f, ran on; open to further improvement.
