All Eyes on Addison Grey After A Commanding Debut Victory
ADDISON GREY followed in his sire’s precocious footsteps when winning readily on debut in the restricted maiden stakes at Southwell racecourse this afternoon, justifying market favouritism.
Under a composed ride from L’ARC DE TRIOMPHE heroine Rossa Ryan, ADDISON GREY sat in a distant 4th, tracking the blistering pace set by front runner ALFA KALORI. Racing in pairs around the bend, and with his rivals racing vigorously off the bridle, ADDISON GREY cruised past in eye catching fashion and had put the race to bed by the two-furlong pole, easing up at the half furlong marker in what was an impressive 3 length win.
He will have learnt a huge amount from his first experience on a racecourse and we cannot wait to see how he progresses in the near future!

ADDISON GREY (£60,000Y: by Havana Grey: third foal: half-brother to winner up to 1m Lunarscape (2-y-o 6f winner, by Cityscape) and 2-y-o 5f winner (stays 7f) Fengari (by Territories): dam 6f winner) was all the rage in the betting and looked potentially useful, value for around 2 lengths more than the winning margin suggests; waited with, headway on bridle over 2f out, led soon after, went clear under just hands-and-heels riding approaching final 1f, eased late on, impressive; can defy a penalty en route to better things.
A small-field maiden but they were soon well strung out and a newcomer that was backed into short-priced favouritism created a fine impression.
