Bonaventure breaks his maiden
Bonaventure broke his maiden in emphatic fashion last week in the 1m Find us at Fitzdares handicap, with Bonaventure battling gamely to beat the closing Oh So Audacious and Milvus in the final stages.
Having been incredibly consistent in his recent running, Bonaventure got off the mark under a fantastic ride from Sean Levey, who remained prominent throughout the early stages of the race before making impressive headway from 2 furlongs. Despite facing challenges from both sides within the last furlong, Bonaventure dug deep to ensure victory.
The victory not only signalled Bonaventure’s Maiden success but also trainer Stuart Williams 1000th career winner, providing a fantastic evening and result for all connections involved.
Bonaventure holds an entry in the September Sale on the 10th of September, where he should receive interest from potential buyers given his room for progression, we will likely look to try and win a second race before then!

BONAVENTURE has been suited by the step up to 1m and took another small step forward to get off the mark a shade cosily, though this was at the 11th time of asking; in touch, smooth headway 2f out, led 1f out, pushed out.
A modest handicap on balance won by a 3-y-o that was getting off the mark at the 11th attempt; the first 3 raced towards the front end.
