Bridget's Breakthrough: A Gutsy Victory at Kempton Park
Bridget’s View confirmed her initial promise on Wednesday evening when battling to get her head in front in the Class 2 Juddmonte EBF restricted Maiden Stakes, taking home £15,462 in prize money plus an additional £10,000 in Great British Bonus for her efforts.
Having been purchased from the Tattersalls October Book 2 Yearling Sale for £30,000 GNS, and being a British-bred Flat filly, she will qualify for a bonus up to £20,000 in all GBB qualifying races in the calendar.
Breaking smartly, she dictated the pace throughout the early stages before responding well under pressure within the final two furlongs, fending off the closing rivals SPIRIT OF ALBION and SWEET FANTASTIC who had come from a long way back off the pace.
Kieran Shoemark noted post race that “she is an impressive filly with huge potential, expected to mature and fill out her frame over the winter, providing tremendous scope for success next year”. She will now be rested over the winter before building on her success early next year.
Congratulations to all connections for a fantastic result, having so many owners at the course made it an unforgettable night and we very much look forward to seeing her back on the course next year.

BRIDGET'S VIEW set the standard switched to all-weather and managed to get off the mark, but she made heavy weather of this despite her market rival being withdrawn and the newcomers losing their chances due to greenness; made all, pushed along 2f out, kicked on over 1f out, just held on.
Not the race it promised to be on the day, one of the pair that dominated the market withdrawn after playing up in the stalls, the winning favourite making heavy weather of the relatively easy task left for her, while all the interesting debutantes were too green to launch a telling challenge, the fourth one of several bound to come on markedly for the experience.
