Debora’s Dream celebrates Sandown Success

DEBORA’S DREAM continues to improve after his seasonal lay-off having made it two wins in a row in game fashion at Sandown Park on Wednesday evening.

Remaining prominent throughout early stages of the race, Jockey Aidan Keeley made the decision to send DEBORA’S DREAM to the front 2 furlongs out before battling gamely within the closing stages to ensure victory.

Roger Varian noted post-race: “It was great to see DEBORA'S DREAM follow up his Nottingham win, he has a fine attitude. I'm pleased to report he is sound, clean-limbed and healthy following the run.

I think he will stay at least a furlong further, he was very strong through the line at Sandown, although we could stay at the mile given how well he gets the trip.”

The handicapper will now raise his mark further after his second win within a month, but the recent success opens a wealth of opportunities for future race entries such as the Racing League or a Class 3 Handicap at Goodwood later this month. Congratulations to all connections, he looks an exciting prospect for the remainder of the season!

DEBORA'S DREAM (IRE) taking on his elders for the first time, took a step forward in justifying strong support to follow up from his Nottingham success earlier in the month; led early, remained prominent after 1f, shaken up 3f out, led again approaching 2f out, kept on; he remains relatively unexposed in handicaps.

A useful performance from well-backed favourite Debora's Dream in gaining his second win in the space of a month.
