JUNGLE MAC Secures Stunning Win!

JUNGLE MAC achieved a decisive win in what was his first attempt over a mile on Saturday at Newmarket.

Under an impressive ride from Edward Greatrex, he settled a close second throughout the race and when asked to extend a furlong out from home, powered clear of his rivals, running through the line.

He has been an incredibly consistent horse for us, having finished in the prize money on 10 of his 11 career starts, and as he is unexposed over a mile it opens a wealth of opportunities for the future. He has battled with a number high profile horses within his last few starts, including AL SHABAB STORM (Now rated 107) and MICKLEY (Now rated 101 and sold privately to Hong Kong after his Royal Ascot Britannia Stakes win) and therefore holds an incredibly progressive profile and looks like a horse on the up.

He has come out of the race sound and incredibly well, as shown in the video below!

JUNGLE MAC (IRE) upped in trip and taking on his elders for the first time, took a step forward to gain a first win in handicap company, looking typically ungainly, but it would be churlish to crab his attitude too much this time; disputed lead first 1f, remained prominent, led over 2f out, tackled final 1f, carried head high, kept on.

A borderline useful handicap that saw a 3-y-o defeat a thriving older horse, with one who has come down the weights chasing them home, this form that should work out.
