Laguna Boy Secures Impressive Victory at Chelmsford

Laguna Boy delivered a standout performance at Chelmsford City Racecourse on Thursday in the 7f Paddy Power “From the Horse's mouth” handicap, fending off a number of well supported and experienced opponents in the process.

Having shown encouragement in his final start before receiving his official mark, Laguna boy backed up the promise that had been shown to secure a decisive victory, with Marco Ghiani making the decision to lead from the front, and showed a great turn of foot to stretch the field on the turn into the home straight.

We are delighted with how strongly he held on, and being a low mileage progressive 3 year old we are looking forward to plenty more to come from him.

LAGUNA BOY (IRE) has improved with each run and made the switch to handicaps a winning one under a well-judged ride; led, pushed along home turn, driven out to make all.

A fair handicap that went the way of the least exposed runner, Laguna Boy making a successful handicap debut, holding on from a couple from further back under a well-judged ride.
