Marchogion strikes in style at Southwell

Marchogion became our first winner in 2025 with a dominant display at Southwell on Friday evening, winning cosily by 7 lengths under jockey David Probert, for trainer Andrew Balding in the “£30 In Free Bets With BetUK Novice Stakes (GBB Race)”

Dictating the pace from the offset, Marchogion traveled smoothly before lengthening from the field impressively at the 2f pole, extending his lead further in the final stages and leaving his rivals in the dust, powering 8 lengths clear.

He had an incredibly progressive profile as a two year old, and has strengthened and matured over the winter months in preparation for the season ahead. He looks an incredibly exciting prospect for the year, with the main aim still remaining to be the All Weather Finals on Good Friday.
