PHOENIX PASSION sees out a four timer for the Ed Walker team
PHOENIX PASSION and Saffie Osborne have been an unbeatable force this season with four consecutive wins for the Ed Walker team, concluding with their latest effort at Kempton against older rivals. Speedily away, the pair made the running and battled impressively when challenged in the run-in, getting back up to score a dead heat victory with six-year-old LONGLAI. Not the biggest horse in stature, he has more than enough determination to make up for his size and continues to improve all the time.
His sire, TOO DARN HOT, is proving an outstanding source of milers and holds a remarkable 40% winner to runner ratio over 7-9f.

PHOENIX PASSION (IRE) is improving all the time and completed the 4-timer taking on his elders, his Nottingham win having been franked by the runner-up, his positive style well suited to this track and looking as if he'd hold on to the outright lead until close home; led, ridden 2f out, tackled entering final 1f, joined post.
With a quartet of last-time-out winners in attendance and almost half of the field 3-y-os this had the makings of a competitive event, though it failed to develop until approaching 2f out which resulted in a bunched finish, the time a second slower than the first division, those in the frame bar Acotango racing on the speed.
