Two on the Bounce for AZURE ANGEL

AZURE ANGEL defied her penalty in another incredible performance today, this time in the 6f Restricted Novice Stakes at Kempton.

Back at her preferred trip, she was the ultimate professional from start to finish, sitting coolly under jockey David Egan until the final furlong where she quickened with ease and kept on to win by two lengths.

She brought home another 20k Great British Bonus for her owners, bringing her total earnings to £48,606 in just three starts - remarkable for a Book 3 filly that cost only 24k! This performance also landed Roger Varian his 133rd Great British Bonus win this year.

Her sire, HARRY ANGEL, has had an extremely successful first season with the likes of MARSHMAN, PROVERB and REVENITE, and as a Champion three-year-old himself, AZURE ANGEL has every chance of improving even more next season.

AZURE ANGEL improved further to follow up back down in trip, making short work of her penalty and promising to have better still to come; prominent, travelled fluently, led under 2f out, kept on well; will go on improving.

A comfortable success for the progressive favourite, never far from the pace and soon putting this to bed once taking over under 2f out, only the runner-up able to get anywhere near her, the rest looking modest at best.
