TYNDRUM STRIKES GOLD
TYNDRUM GOLD wins on debut in decisive fashion!
Jockey: Jack Mitchell
Trainer: Roger Varian
Restricted Novice Stakes over 1m at Kempton
The slowly run race didn’t get the better of TYNDRUM GOLD, who won with plenty in hand over a mile at Kempton. Trained by Roger Varian, he settled well despite high winds on the track and picked up nicely when asked on the straight.
He was a real find, purchased last year at Tattersalls Book 3 for 32,000 GNS from the National Stud. He has turned into a striking MUHAARAR gelding and looked every bit as good as his run tonight - definitely the paddock pick to all of us there!

TYNDRUM GOLD (32,000Y: by Muhaarar: fourth foal: closely related to 3 winners, including useful 2-y-o 5f winner Peggy Sioux and 5f-1m winner Aunt Agatha (both by Oasis Dream): dam, 6f winner who stayed 1m, sister to smart winner up to 6f La Cucaracha) is in good hands and made a winning start in good style, having a nice position the way this unfolded and well on top at the line; prominent, pushed along 2f out, led over 1f out, kept on well, well on top finish; will improve.
A steadily-run contest caught the odds-on favourite out here, the winning debutant always well placed and asserting decisively close home, the fourth shaping well from further back.
